Juan Larios is a SharePoint MVP and the SharePoint Technical Lead at Imaginet Resources Corp. Juan has extensive experience in architecting and developing SharePoint solutions with SharePoint 2007. Since the release of SharePoint 2010 Juan has been focusing on 2010 solutions, migrations and upgrading from the 2007 product. This session will focus on the new and Improved architecture of the Business Connectivity Services (BCS) in SharePoint 2010. Formerly known as the Business Data Catalogue, the new BCS vastly improves old features and provides better support for the development of solutions. The BCS is not simply a replacement or an improvement of the old BDC but it redefines the underlying architecture to allow scalability and flexibility of architecture. This is the first of 2 Sessions and will focus on the architecture, out of the box features and capabilities and an introduction in to the supported tools for developing BCS solutions.
